As the subject title suggest..what are the steps to put a animated gif onto a pic (PSD). When I try I get the message

"THIS IS A ANIMATED GIF. YOU CAN ONLY VIEW 1 FRAME.
SAVING OVER THIS FILE WILL RESULT IN LOSS OF INFORMATION"

thanks in advance

Hi leary,
- In CS2 and earlier, open the GIF with ImageReady and jump to Photoshop

In CS3:
- Pull down "File > Import > Video Frames to Layers"
- Browse to the GIF location
- Photoshop pretends it can't see animated GIFs, so you have to type full name with extension (e.g., "myfile.gif") in the "File Name" field.
- Click "Load"

Wow...that easy? Well thanks a lot doubrovski! Thumb Up

EDIT: So I'm clear...once opened Imageready CS I click FILE>edit un photoShop? Then copy/paste to my background image?

leary,
IMO, in CS you'd better add background image to animated GIF:

- Choose the "bg" image
- Select all [Ctrl+A]
- Copy [Ctrl+C]
- Choose animated image
- Increase its canvas size (Image > Canvas Size) to fit the new background
- Paste the background [Ctrl+V]
- Send the added layer to back (Layer > Arrange > Send to Back)
