I'm trying to photoshop this picture, I want to make the car a bright yellow and rims black but can't seem to get it to work out?

Hi revolution,
Generally speaking to edit some object separately you have to select it (e.g. with the Magic Wand or Polygonal Lasso tool).
Then you can apply to the selected area Color Balance, Hue/Saturation, or some other adjustment command (screenshot).

Thanks I'm using CS3 and couldn't find some of those settings.
