if i have a image and i want to bring it down to 200 X 90 and right now its 500 X 200, how can i do that , i tried the re-size image option but it locks out the height or the width.

You'd either have to crop the image to the desired ratio before you enter the image size dialogue box or uncheck the constrain proportions checkbox and accept a 'distorted' version of the image.
