Hi all! I am new to using Photoshop. I have 10 equally sized layers in my document, each with a different image.
I would like to show a horizontal band (rectangle) from each layer. For example, I want Layer 1 to be visible from 0 in to 1 in., Layer 2 to be visible from 1 in. to 2 in., etc. Does anyone know easiest & least tedious way to do this?
Hi vendiddy,
First mark up your document with guides.
- Pull down "View > New Guide", choose "Horizontal", and set "Position" to "1 in"
- Create the second guide at "2 in" and so on
- Now select the uppermost band with the Rectangular Marquee tool
- In the Layers palette select the uppermost layer and click the "mask" button at the bottom. The first band is ready.
- Select the next "band", activate the next layer, and mask it
And so on... _________________ Andrei Doubrovski
