I am running CS2 on XPPro.
When I open a photo and try to crop it I get a message that the Layer is locked and the command cannot be carried out. I have searched the Help file to see how to unlock the Layerwithout success.
Can anyone help? |

An easy way is to duplicate the layer and then crop the newly created duplicate photo.
In the layers dialog, drag the locked layer onto the "new layer" icon, and it will copy the layer. |

I cannot drag the photo to New Layer Icon as I do not have the Layers Pallette showing, and I don't know how to make it appear. I have tried selecting LAYER >DUPLICATE LAYER but I get the same message that the (copy) layer is locked. |

To get the layers menu and other options to come up you go to open photoshop, go to Windows and check the following
-Actions
-Color
-Layers
-Navigator
-Options
-Tools
If that doesn't work, PM me!
OH and go to Layer<Duplicate Layer, then go to the crop tool, select what you want, right click and select crop.
Hope I helped! |
