I just created an account here...so hey everyone. Well, I would consider myself a beginner with photoshop. i've just been using the brush tool to draw and paint around with, and today when I tried to open up a saved project from last night, It came up all blurry and very undetailed compared to when i saved it. I think it might be the saved file was 16 bit, and maybe it's opening it up in 8 bit which is making it blurry? Or maybe my computer can't handle the 16bit and my resolution on the saved file was too high? I really have no idea.

Also, I was wondering some recommended starting specs (like when I open a new window) I'm really a newb. Where should i start searching?

Thanks for everything! your help is appreciated :)

Hi there any welcome!
What format did you save the 16 bit image to?
The size of a new document depends on what you're actually using it for? (web, printing etc). There are loads of great sites around to help you, try doing a google search for the topic of your choice. For example, if you're wanting to learn more about the magic wand tool then do a google search for 'photoshop magic wand tool'.
Hope this helps
