I'm using photoshop (CS2) to ink/color a webcomic attempt of mine, and I'm a bit stuck for how to do the borders of the individual frames. I tried playing around with the rounded rectangle tool, but I have to be honest I dont have a CLUE what it does or how to use it.
I basically need to make a hollow rectangle with slightly rounded corners about 5-10 pixels thick. |

Hi Phist,
- Activate the Rounded Rectangle
- in the Options bar, make sure that "Shape layers" mode is selected and define corner "Radius"
- Drag over the image
- Pull down "Layer Layer Style > Stroke..." and define border width and color
- In the layers palette, set "Fill" opacity to "0"

Awesome man, that's exactly what I needed to know. Thanks!
Hmm, while I have your attention, do you have any recommendations for how to go about doing speech bubbles? |

- Activate the Custom Shape (in the same tool set)
- Open Shape Preset picker > go to flyout menu > load "Talk Bubbles"
