I am trying to restore an old photo. When I zoom in on a certain area (the man's head) there are tons of little white dots. Any ideas of how I could get rid of these.

There is also the moire effect on the photo. I'll try to include this photo..

There are many things you can do to fix up a photo like this.
An easy way would be to take the polygonal lasso tool with a feather of around 5-10. select the part you want to fix up. In this case perhaps just his hair. You dont have to select it perfectly, just roughly. Then you can do a number of things. Try playing with the curves or levels under (Image, Adjustments) also then blur it, just alittle with the selection still selected around the part you are fixin. That should get rid of some of the graininess.
