im currently working on a sig for a forum.

i want it to have text on one side, and an image on the other. and i want it to fade from one to the other, and not have a vertical line where the color from the image stops and the background behind teh text begins.

i know there is a way, and i HAVE done it before, but i cant seem to remember how. Im using Elements 4.0

Hello,
- [Ctrl]-click the text layer to load it as selction
- Hide or delete the text layer
- Create a new empty layer
- Fill the selection with color-to-transparency gradient
