In the image you will see 4 Chinese takeout boxes. The 4th one thats a little on the right is what its supposed to be like, and is the one that was copied over and over. Each time I copied it , it left behind a slightly different copy behind. The more I copy it, the more they degrade.
In its original file, I had adjusted the highlights, shades and mid tones. Then I applied two adjustment layers: a color curve to adjust the contrast, then a hue/saturation to get rid of some color casting.
I then placed the item into my new composition and proceeded....till you see the example I left behind for you.
Whats happening? I want multiple copies of this guy and he's getting all saturated. And my histogram shows no changes...neither does my curves.
Whats going on?!?!?!?!?

from my understanding jpgs do degrade each time you make some adjustments to them and resave. bmps/bitmaps do not. i use bmps as much as possible then once im finished, i save the final image as jpg.

I figured it out. I just had to merge the layers first.
