My photoshop seems to be working apart from when I click on healing brush tool and try and use it a message saying | Quote: | | "Alt-click to define a source point to be used to repair the image" |
I know this may sound silly but I really don't know how to work it.
Any ideas?

well, yeah, you do just what that message says. put your cursor on an area of the image that is good and clean and then hold down the alt key on keyboard and while holding alt down, click your mouse button. release the alt key and you can now click mouse button on the area that needs to be healed. what this is doing is sort of like cloning. it is taking very lightly the area that you alt clicked on and coping it to the area to be healed.
