I am looking for the Lens Blur filter in Photoshop CS3 and I simply cannot find it. I'm sure that it is just me overlooking things, but if anyone could point me in the right direction, you would be of great help.

Thanks so much!

Hi

Filter>Blur>Lens Blur

Hope this helps

That's where I thought it should be but it is not. In my filter menu I have the following options:
Blur
Noise
Pixelate
Sharpen
Stylize
Other

Within the blur submenu there are the following options:
Blur
Blur More
Box Blur
Gaussian Blur
Motion Blur
Shape Blur
Surface Blur

In the Photoshop help menu, I searched for lens blur and it told me to do the same thing (Filter>Blur>Lens Blur) but it is not there. Is there anywhere else it could be? Thank You!

Strange
You seem to be missing quite a few filters indeed.

Are you using the beta version of PS, a trial version or some kind of demo kit?

I'd recommend you use the original install disk to repair it, you could also check that the filter is inside the install directory under plugins>filters.

Yea I am running a beta version. I didn't even think of that as an answer. That probably unless i get a non-beta version i will not be able to use those filters, correct?

Sorry I didn't read the last bit of your message. I will check to see if it is in plugins.

OK. i got it all figured out. Somehow the application found its way into a different folder than the plug-ins. i just dragged it into the folder with the plug-ins and all my filters had returned. thank you for your help.
