|
|
I am trying to create a table background for my webpage. I want the table to fade from transparent to a blue and then back to transparent. The only way I know how to do this is by embedding an animated gif for the table background. However, when i make an animated gif it makes the table white then fades to blue and back. It will only show transparent when the frames color layer is set to 0% opacity. Anything more than 0% gives the frame a 100% opacity
Basically, how do i make an animated gif frame that is a transparent color so i can still see the webpage background? Is this even possible?

Not possible with a gif. You always need at least one background color unless it is 100% transparent.
May I ask why you want your banner image fading in and out anyway? Seems as though it would be wildly annoying.

Well the sample pic i posted is a little too flashy. I was gonna make it change colors very very subtly. I had seen it done with multiple colors before and thought it would look even better if it had transparency to it. But i guess that won't work. Oh well. Thanks for the post.
