I have Photoshop 7.0 and am a complete beginner(real dumb with computers!). I have a jpeg which is size 750x250, I need to fade approx the right half of the picture to black (Moving from left to right the picture gradually gets darker and darker )

I have no clue how to do this?

I really appreciate some help on this ?

Thanks

Harry

Create a new layer above your image. Select your colours to be White - foreground and Black-background. Use the gradient tool from left to right. Then in this same layer instead of Normal select Multiply from the dropdown menu.
