I have a company logo that I created in Photoshop. The problem I am having is that I cannot get the edges of the letters to be crisp. They are jagged.

Can you please help give me an idea in order clean up the edges.

When I publish the logo on the website I get the following result. (I use Dreamweaver)

I sure would appreciate any help you can offer.

Thanks,

Steve

It's because you're using a transparent GIF. If you save the GIF with a red matte, it might look a lot better. Not sure how the matte would show up against your textured background though.

When you go to save the image, a series of dialog boxes will pop up. The one with the matte option is titled "Indexed Color". One of the reds that I chose from your background is #AE2320.

I didn't realize that it had been that long. Thought I'd drop in and see if there were any questions I could answer. Big Grin

You could try to make a selection around the red textured background where you want to place the logo take it into PS and add the text save as a Jpeg
then place the Jpeg over the red background. I moved it over to show. It would be cropped a lot closer to keep the size down. Are you using PNG at all? I think most browsers can handle them now even IE7.

(Nice looking site)

Thank you for the advice. I'll try that. The red matte was a good idea, thanks Bryan. I think the JPEG idea may be just what I've been looking for.

This is my first site. I had to learn how to use Dreamweaver first. I appreciate the positive feedback, but you ought to see the directory and strange coding.

Here's the improvement made by the GIF w/ matte image.

I'll post the change made by going to JPEG
