Hello,

I've used Fireworks for a long time and I like it a lot. I have Fireworks 8 and I use it on a daily basis. However, I am thinking of getting Photoshop. :)

So, I was wondering, for anyone who moved from Fireworks to Photoshop, what was it like? How hard was it? Any thoughts or advice would be welcome.

Thanks. :)

Thanks for the reply. :) Actually, I'd be talking about CS3.

Hey Patrick,
I use both on a hourly basis. for some reason most of my vector requirements can be accomplished with FW, especially going to Web. Getting back to PS, different animal and a lot more involved in pixel manipulation. There a lot of very good tools in the last (and the latest ie.CS3) that give both designers and photographers a huge expanse to work with. I would suggest that you download an evaluation version, which I believe (don't quote me!!) is good for 30 days.

Thanks for the reply, SCync. :) I may do that. I am thinking of holding off until I buy a new PC (on 1 GB, 2.8 Ghz P4 right now... it could do it, I'm sure, but...). I would be buying Creative Suite 3, which actually comes with Fireworks (I didn't know that when I started this thread), so I could still use both. But, I am interested in hearing from anyone who has made the switch, so I appreciate your feedback. :)
