The current default 'stroke' setting on my PS is 3 pixels/Red...how do I change it?

The stroke setting to which I refer is when I double click a layer and want to surround it with a stroke line of color. I have searched everywhere and can't find where to change the default setting.

Thanks!

Right at the top where it has the color or your stroke, there is a slider for size..Slide it to 1..

thanks granny, but what I meant was how to set it permanently so that every time I opt for a stroke, it comes up as 1px and black instead of 3px and red...how do you do that?

I got it! Make a new style with 1 as the setting for the stroke..Make sure you set it on inside or outside or where ever..And set the color too..

But I don't think there is a way to change the default size 3..Just like I haven't been able to change the default of the spacing on the brush tip pallette..Have to make a new brush for that too..

Maybe someone will have another way..I'd like to know too..

thanks. that's what my graphic designer friend said too..he's a real expert and he said to make a style too..

Hard to believe with all the infinite details that PS lets you do that you can't specify certain preferences...maybe in the next version.

Yeah, even with the best, there is room for improvement!
