Okay, so my problem is: I make a rounded rectangle, rasterize it, use the wand to select the inside of the shape, use the gradient tool to change the solid color inside to my desired gradient color, and (here's the problem) when it fills the rounded rectangle with the grandient, the rounded corners of the rectangle become not so round. How do I keep them nice and round and fill with my desired gradient? Anybody know?

Thanks,
Mitch

PS - I'm not sure if this also happens when filling with solid colors or if it just happens when filling with gradients.

I experienced the same. I resolve it making the shapes in Illustrator and open in Photoshop. Aplly the color or gradiente and then copy to final work as a new layer. But could be a visual problem and not a real problem on the work.

Instead of using the wand to select, if the shape is on its own layer, lock the transparency and apply the gradient.

Great, thanks! I tried SCync's suggestion and it worked.

What exactly is happening when something is locked? Does locking the transparency mean that none of the currently transparent pixels will be editable? I thought that's what it might mean but then I was able to add a one-pixel outer stroke to my object so maybe that's not what locking means?
