I just recently installed a BUNCH of fonts and now when I try to open photoshop it stops when it says 'Reading fonts...' and a pop up happens and says something about a hardware error and that it's un recoverable :/. I tried reinstalling so far. Any ideas?

Lol. Unfortunately...you still have to delete all of the new fonts. I made the same mistake as you a couple months back. I installed a file called "4200 Fonts" <---Big Mistake. It takes a while to delete them all, but its worth it. Here is a list of the fonts that come with windows. DO NOT delete them. http://www.kayskreations.net/fonts/fonttb.html. Hope this helps. Happy Deleting :)

In my case, it wasn't a corrupt font file. The problem was the number of fonts that were installed. The startup process of CS2 is already pretty CPU intensive...and adding another 4200 fonts to gather and render previews of, pushed it over the top.
