New user here and I have a question for you all.
Im looking for a new notebook / laptop that will not suffer at all when rendering large photoshop / illustrator / premier files. Im currently using a maxed out p4 3ghz desktop which is amazingly fast at doing this and good with multitasking.
Ive tried a core 2 duo 1.66 ghz with 1 gig of ram and I am completely unimpressed with its multitasking capabilities so im wondering if you guys could give me a suggested spec for a notebook that will equal or outperform my p4 desktop ?
Whats more important for rendering tasks - hard drive speed, cpu speed, cpu cache, memory etc etc ?
If I cannot get such a laptop then im happy to not bother with the idea but it would be very handy for carrying jobs to different printers in different buildings.
I prefer a standard 4:3 aspect ratio screen and definitely not one of those glossy screens because I fail to understand how anyone can use one in an office environment.
I thinks this limits me to lenovo's and hp's.
Any help would be great.
