The pentool will give you the smoothness you need.
Once you've gone around it with the pentool set the feather to .1-.3 or so depending ot he size of the image..it will smooth out nicely.
If you are not a fan of the pentool (best tool for the job) use the quick mask with a brush large enough to to make the edges smooth.
I did a quick sample cut out with the pentool.
