How do I size a picture in Adobe? Either before I make changes to the picture or after, I go to 'Image' then 'image size' and I try to change the dimensions of the photograph, but it automatically it refers to its own preferred size. How do I unlock it so as to adjust it to my likings? Thank you so much, any help would be much appreciated.

If you have CONSTRAIN PROPORTION (image size) it will increase or decrease while keeping the proportions. 3x5, 4.5x7.5, 6x10, etc.
if you uncheck it then you can make the width/hight as you please but the image will be pulled and pushed out of proportion.
I recommend you crop the image to the size dimensions you need.

How can I crop it make it the size I want? When you open up an image in Photoshop it automatically opens it at it's own selected size. if I have the Constrain Proportion still on and I'm croping then doesn't it make that undesired size even smaller. Thanks again!

It opens at the size of the original image, not a PS default...on screen it might look bigger or smaller but it's the same size as the original. Are going by the on screen size (visual) or by the actual size as indicated (image/image size)..on screen everything pretty much looks the same unless super small.
If that doesn't help..

Can you indicate the dimension of the image (original) and the indicate the size you want it to be?
