When I first tried to run CS after installing the CS2 trial, it gave me an error saying:
Could not initialize Photoshop because the file is locked. Use the properties command...
I took read only off the entire CS folder, and now I get:
Could not initialize Photoshop because of a program error
anyone had this problem?

Uninstall photoshop completely and then reinstall Photoshop CS. If all else fails, it may be worth reformatting your machine or splurging out for an upgrade. I would suggest backing up your data and then reformating, photoshop is no piece of cheap software. _________________ AIM: pbkev1npb

turns out the IT guy took away my admin rights, and now PS wouldnt launch. couldnt write to the hard drive. had to give me back my rights!
