Hi Guys and gals

I would welcome any suggestions to sort out this problem. Seems that every photo that I load and display into Photoshop is very dark. With other photo viewing programs they are they should be....but in Photoshop all dark. Confused

There is no problem correcting them but then again after that in other programs they are too light. Frown

Calibrating the monitor doesn't help.....it means that the brightness of the photos is okay but then again everything else on the screen is too light.

Tried changing color prfofiles etc but no difference.

The strange thing is that it only happens with photoshop....cs, cs2 and elements. Confused With oher programs as I mentioned the photos when dispalyed are the original brightness they need to be. Cool

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thanks Brow

This topic has been posted before. If I recall it had to do with the Adobe Gamma loader. By default, it is located by navigating to:

C:/Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Calibration

Click the readme file and it will give you instructions.
