Not sure what's going on with photo shop seven but the text seems very big even at 6. I will give you an example of what is happening. I made a document of 700 x 30 pixels. Even with the text set at 6 seems very big for the document . Really, it should be very small but it isn't. There must be some kind of setting gone wrong somewhere.

500 x 30 at what resolution? and what font are you using?
Here as an example I used franklin gothic book, the top image is 500x30 at 300ppi the bottom the same size but 72 ppi, as you can see the text both 6 points look a lot different in size. Wayne

It looks pretty much the same as mine as far as I can tell. (I'm guessing your on 72 dpi) Wayne
