Hi,

I have a set of photos of paintings already scanned from transparencies (with full range, I'm told).

I no longer have access to the paintings or the transparencies.

The photos were taken with a kodak color control strip at the side of each painting so there is a strip of reference colors as part of each image.

Now, I want to know how I can reliably color correct these images based on the color strip. I know what colors should be in the color strip, and so I assume I should be able to manipulate the image as a whole based on these differentials.

Is there a reliable way to go about this in photoshop, or perhaps a plugin I can purchase?

Thanks for any help,
