hey im making a sig fr a friend and i need to know how to make a shadow? i have an image of something on an object and it looks 3d i want to duplicate the image and make a shadow of it to put on the object but dont no how...what steps do i do to make a shadow?

nevnermind i figured it out i duplicated the image, colour the image all grey then went to the layer and selected multiply and then went to blending options by right clicking the layer, clicked satin and drop shadow and it looked pretty good

You may want to blur the shadow and drop the opactity on it too. And shadows are usually all black here on earth - not grey. ;-)

When you get into learning all about alpha channels, you can make the shadow fade like I have done here. This took me ten minutes to create.
