I was working at a client's office today and tried to open Photoshop 7 and got "Could not complete your request because the serial number has expired."

This copy was working on Friday.

It's been suggested that this was a beta version or a trial of some sort. A beta doesn't sound all that likely to me, but if Adobe offered a trial that could be it.

I've never heard of a full-version serial number expiring, and would be really annoyed, frankly. But, in any event, it would not be me who has to buy one. I just can't finish his work until he does. _________________ -- John

It is because you are both using beta copies, the time expires after a 3 month period. There is not much point in me explaining more, but rest assured this is the case.

I also won't bother going into the finer points of warez. _________________ If life serves you lemons, make lemonade! |

warez is an interesting point and one I normally would not have considered with this particular client, except he recently bought this company. He has owned it less than 3 months, so ... ?

In any event, he has purchased a full version, so this is no longer an issue for me. _________________ -- John
