Hello and welcome:
The best website for photoshop tutorials is at:
http://www.good-tutorials.com/
It is mostly for Photoshop 7.0 and CS, but the website has A LOT of very helpful hints and tips for Photoshop Elements 2.0 and 3.0. It has a basic section on the left hand side of the homepage.
Welcome to Photoshop Forums. Ask us anything about Photoshop. _________________ Qubert |

I don't know if it's still available or not but
The Wow Photoshop Book
could be a good place to start.

i started just doing random tutorials that look like fun... mess around wtih good-tutorials.com, it will pr obably end up being a good resource for you in the future, the best way is probably just to mess around... search for tutorials on google, that would be a good way to learn _________________ http://i337m1k3.deviantart.com for my ART Profile. |

Greetings everyone - another newbie here!
I'm also learning Photoshop and was wondering what people think the best way to learn is - classes, online classes, books, tutorials, etc? These forums will be great once I get my feet wet, but I believe I need something comprehensive to start. So I just need to know the best place to dive in. Thanks!

I believe experimenting is definitly the best way. Sure, books can help, but they tell you what to do and how to do it. Photoshop is art, and art should be free.. xD. I think experiment.. take up a few tutorials from http://good-tutorials.com , or some other tutorial site, and mess around. See what you can concoct with brushes and tutorials.
Have Fun! |
