i like firefox
1-tabbed browsing (best feature of all)
2-customizable interface
3-themes/extensions
4-open source
thats enough for me to not ever use IE again. |

for the record just because its open source doesnt make it superiour
imagine if no one was ever paid to make programs
as for themes...... seems to me only teenage girls on myspace need themes
i have multiple monitors, so the tabbing doesnt help me at all _________________ *sketchkiddie*

Ah... politics, religion and browsers. The holy trinity of community atmosphere ruiner's. Be careful folks.
I use IE and have for a long time. I have looked at FireFox and I have it on my PC for testing, but personally - I don't see enough reason for me to want to switch. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike FF... my use of it has been positive, but I just don't see anything exceptional (personally, to me) that jumps out at me and says "hey, you need to switch for this!"
As far as popup blockers, that doesn't concern me because I don't see myself ever using them. As a webmaster, I feel that the ads that other webmasters choose to display are their right. They have a right to display them on their hard work and their property. And I have the right not to visit, but not the right to block their ads. If ads are annoying and they bother me that much, I simply won't visit. If I view a website, I must view, or at least tolerate, any ads. I feel it is disrespectful to do otherwise. The choice is not to visit with or without ads. The choice is to visit, or not visit at all. _________________ Patrick O'Keefe - PhotoshopForums.com Administrator

I disagree in the sense that i have the right as well to use a anti-popup program if i want. However i have to say that i am one of those that don't bother to turn them off if i have the choice (as you can with some websites) Ads are just that, ads.
My point is more related to spyware. And i had 15 of those that adaware had to remove each week when i used Ie. Now with FF i have 1 every month if that.. not having to ad aware every week is a major thing to me, hence i prefer FF.
But like you said Patrick it's a personal choice. I was just trying to find out more about both, as to know more about what the possibilities and consequences are with using one or the other. Thanks for all the replies, they have given me more insight into this browser-thing. _________________ Witam
