Dear forum members,

I just joined this forum and am desperate. I've been wracking my brain for weeks in trying to figure out how to create a certain psychedelic color ripple wave effect. Below are posted 2 example images from another source so that you'll know what I am referring to. What is this effect called, and how is it done? Does it require a program other than PhotoShop CS3 or is it a particular filter, plugin or???

I would GREATLY APPRECIATE any help at all. Thank you in advance.

Shalom aleichem(peace be with you).

In the One,
~Jonny

I'm sorry to say I am not sure how this was made. If I happen to find it I will definitely let you know.

Just thought I'd post a reply and let ya know I'll be looking for it.

The only way I can help you is that I know it's not made in PHotoshop...

Shalom and good morning. Thank you both for your replies. I appreciate it.

bdbolin, it would REALLY be beneficial to me if you can help me out with knowing what program does this effect. I am openminded to using various programs outside of PhotoShop if need be. Over the past two weeks, all of my searches into this topic have been futile, for no site is of benefit.

P.S. : I tried to contact you via PM, but was unable, due to being a new member, and no one can PM whenever having under 25 posts.

Also, from what I've read, the only program that was found was only for Mac computers. If you know of one which can be used on a Windows-based IBM compatible Hewlett Packard, I would be eternally grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Something that I didn't know before :

This effect is called plasma color cycling. Unfortunately, there is hardly no helpful information which enables one to easily figure out how to create this special effect or find a downloadable program (for Windows-based IBM compatible computers) which generates it.
