Software: Photoshop CS3 and Illustrator CS3
Here is what I am trying to do.
I am cutting a person out of a image using the poly lasso tool. One the image is cut out, I simply grab it and drag it straight over to an open Illustrator project. The cut out image goes over but carries a white background with it. I want it to just be the cut out portion from the image. I am not sure why when I drag it over, a white background follows.
The way I have been doing it to hold me over has been to poly lasso the person, drop them in a new photoshop window, then delete the white background, then save it as a .png and place into my illustrator project.
I remember being able to just drag and drop before and I am not sure if a setting or something got messed up.
Thanks for anyone input. |

You can also save the photoshop file, then in Illustrator go to File>Place... and navigate to the .psd file. The advantage to this is that you can edit your image in photoshop, and Illustrator will update the changes made. It is really nice. Just be sure to embed the image before you send it to anyone. (unless you also send the .psd file) _________________ www.kg-studios.com |
