I was wondering if there is a way to pass in a value from a web page to a photoshop script using javascript.

For instance -

I have a link on my web page that currently will launch photoshop and open a image and add new layers on the image. I want to be able to click on the link and pass in the text value for a layer. Any sort of assistance on this would be greatly appreciated. If you have any questions please let me know.
