Here's what I have so far....

My issue is this. If you want the original colours recreating that can be done, but the blue text is I presume against a transparent section of the design, in other words blue text and no background, I would think that most of the material you will want to print onto will be dark blue?/maroon? and so the logical choice would be to default to white text. Conversely the white text on the red background would actually be a red colour with the text 'cut out' of it. Only you know the context of the design, but it would help to know, if you could fill out the details.

On a separate note, I realise they are fire axes in the middle behind the dragon, but what are the silver/grey things between the struts of the Maltese Cross rope border on your original image?

WOW, what you have done far is absolutely FANTASTIC.

With regards to the colors we print the design onto our uniform, which is BLACK. So the background colors which are red and white are not transparent as they printed onto the shirt

With regards to colors of text i really don't mind what colors you do, whatever you think flows.

The silver / grey things between teh struts on the maltese cross shouldnt be there, our logo was more a less done on paint so was limited to what we could do.

Also i should have mentioned this at first, our refinery was bought out so our old name Chevron would now need to be replaced with Valero.

Thanks verry much for your help, i cant belive how good it is atm. Amazed!

Thanks for the dragon, top work, in the spirit of sharing and moving on the project, here's the rope border in GIF format if anyone wants it in .ai, then just shout back and will email privately.

Feel free to modify or change as you wish.

I can't take credit. I downloaded a trial version of Illustrator and a pre made rope brush. I did shape the Maltese Cross, but that was about it. As stated, 3/4 of the Photoshop tools are an anathema to me ;) And 100% of Illustrator.

If you want a link to the brush then please shout out.

So, poor am I at Illustrator that I can't work out layers and the like, so am hesitant to offer .ai files, in the spirit of sharing I more than willing to offer what I have.

Here's what I have so far, I don't know what you think about the dragon, but it seemed far less fussy at smaller sizes than the more complicated traditional version.

As for the stroke around the text, if that's too much its fine to remove it, on a similar note if you want the Cymru reversed so that is reads left to right it's no problem.

I am here! Although I am not a member of any fire department. Big Grin

Logo looks so hot Mike. You're really on fire lately. Quite a good 'match' to the original. Cool 2
