Hello everyone,

I use Photoshop CS3 on Mac OS X "Leopard" and I'm thinking of getting a new scanner, the Microtek ScanMaker i800.

Before I get it, though, I need to figure something out... The most important thing about any scanner, to me, is that it has to be supported in Photoshop! I definitely don't want to have to use some third-party scanning software and then save my images and reopen them in Photoshop... agggh, what a pain! Basically, I was wondering if anyone on this forum uses the Microtek ScanMaker in CS3, and if it is possible to scan directly into Photoshop using "Import" or whatnot.

I just want to make absolutely sure they're totally compatible before I buy it. I've scanned things where I had to keep switching between scanner software and Photoshop and it was not a good time.

Many thanks,

Jason
