i suppose you could make the zoom value a preset?? but other than that i would have to say no. even if you go to view>print size it would still be slightly smaller than the real thing. there could be a method - try searching for it through photoshops help menu. _________________ www.richardramsay.com |

I went back and tried this yesterday just to make sure it worked however i forgot that my monitor changed recently. If my images are at 72dpi then it works out at about 130% zoom to be close enough, but if its at 300dpi, its closer to 30/35% zoom. If you can work out yours as closely as possible, and your going to use it regularly, I would suggest making it a preset.
oh and my screen res is 1920x1200! _________________ www.richardramsay.com |

Hi mine is 1152*864 only
and the doc file is at 72 pixels per inch.
does that matter too?
as i find that if i change the pixels per inch.

its standard practice to make screen images at 72dpi but images which you plan to print, at 300dpi.
make the ruler viewable on the page (ctrl+R or command+R if mac), hold a ruler to the screen and keep playing with the zoom until its accurate enough. There may be an easier and quicker way to do this but so far I haven't found what it is.
have a look here this may help, although it doesnt actually state how to view actual size, simply explains things in detail. _________________ www.richardramsay.com |

72 DPi is the standard for digital cameras. As well as photoshop. I believe you can change that in your preference folder if need be.
Ctrl+R is the way to go.....& use your guides! I rely on that all the time. |
