So i need some kind of logo for my band, we're getting bigger everyday and i need something so people can recognize us in gigs, the name of the band is Dark heaven and we play metal, iron maiden, metallica, blak sabbath... etc. so let's see who can make the best one.

I do logos, but I'm useless with that sort of dark, heavy metal feel. Sorry!

Don't rely too much on filters. The results will unavoidably look cliche, no matter how good you are.
I'd start by brainstorming ideas on paper. Write down ideas for symbols, words, and pictures that could be included in the logo. Then start sketching possibilities. Once you have a design you like--and it may take a while--start deciding how you're going to achieve the result you want. For logos, it's usually a good idea to take a vector approach.

here is more of an actual logo I worked up for you, if you are interested let me know, I have it in vector format so it would be scaleable to any size and printable on basically anything at any retail printer.
