I was recently using a dual monitor set-up with PS 6.
Since I switched to using 1 monitor, I haven't been able to locate my color picker window.
I click to change the foreground color, the eyedropper tool is selected, but no color picker window.

I've tried to go back to the dual monitor set-up, but I still can not find the picker window.
I have also tried to reset all windows, but that does not reset the location of where the window displays.

Is there anyway to bring this window to the forefront?

try clicking in the foreground color
(dont touch your mouse at all after that)
then hold down ALT and hit the space bar
Then hit the M key
then hold down one of the arrows on your keyboard until you see it.

to see what's happening, try opening the select>color range first and then do the above (alt+spacebar part and on) and you'll see where I'm trying to steer you.

good luck.

Hi Everybody, sorry for posting on such an old thread, but I am having the exact same problem and I am going crazy wondering what to do to get my color picker back.

Will's suggestion did not work for me, I don't know if it is because I am using a Mac (photoshop CS).

I hope someone has an advice of expertise to point me in the right direction.

Thank you,

PF

Lame, years later and I am experiencing the same issues ...

Switched monitors (different sizes) and can no longer view the Color Picker.
The cursor and screen act as though the window is open,
yet it is not visible even after reseting the dock pallets, etc.

HELP

btw - I tried the ALT, Spacebar and M suggestion ...
Not sure if I did the procedure correctly or what,
the key commands between the MAC vs Windows are slightly different.
For the record; I am using CS on a PPC MAC OS X 10.5.8
