I don't know what could be causing this, but I have a layer with some simple noise on it. When I try to apply a levels or brightness contrast adjustment to it, the preview looks the way I want it, but when I hit OK, it just snaps back to an appearance that is virtually identical to the original. I posted screenshots of the 3 steps at http://www.brendantyo.com/misc/noise.html. Does anyone know how I can get my levels adjustment to stick to a noise layer? Thanks. |

Hey btyo462,
I think the problem is with the view size. You're not getting an accurate preview at 16.7%. Try zooming to 100% and trying again.
Hope this helps _________________ Matt

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, it still won't work. I've zoomed to up to %100 and it still does the same thing. The weird thing is that if I use an adjustment layer for levels, it works just fine. For the sake of keeping my layers palette trim, I'd prefer to just apply levels to the layer itself though. |
