I'm new to photoshop cs2 but i have played with alot of video editor programs so i can catch on quick.
anyway im really into photgraphing cars. i just started photoshop and i found i can really do alot to the cars with this program.
my question is i have a car that is in the sun at an angle and the windows are tinted but the angle you can see in a little.. how can i outline the window and darken it so it looks more tinted? |

There are many ways to do this. I'll give you the one I think is the best/fastest/easiest to do/easiest to explain.
Duplicate the layer that has the car on it.
Hide the original layer.
On the duplicate layer, create a layer mask.
Select the mask.
Paint with the color black on the mask. Remove everything but the window.
Now go to Image > Adjustments > Brightness/Contrast.
Play with those values until you are happy.

could you explain where to find these options, what tools to use, because i'm very new to the program and some controls im still not familiar with.

Click and drag the layer onto the new layer button located at the bottom of the layers palette. It looks like a piece of paper.

Click on the icon at the bottom of the layer palette that looks like a square with a hole cut in it.

On the layer with the mask on it you will see two squares with a chain link icon in between them. One square is a super small thumbnail of the content on the layer the square to the right of that is the layer mask. Click it.

Get you brush tool and select black as the color (you find both of these on the tools palette). Now just paint everything but the window (painting on the layer mask with a white brush will reveal anything you've hidden by painting it with black).
