|
|
Hello
Am getting the hang of Photoshop but I'm having a problem with a photo (attached) I have. I would like to pull out the vine pattern from this photo but the background of it is so similar that I can't use the Magic Wand to delete out the background or whatever I would need to do it.
Is there a way for me to adjust this photo to make the design stand out, select that and then put the original back in and copy it? I would like to keep the vine look as it is in the photo, just delete the background.
Any help would be great.
Thanks
M

This is an ideal application for the pen tool. You can create a path around the entire main vine image in a matter of minutes, then convert it to a selection for extraction. See http://graphicssoft.about.com/od/photoshop/l/blrbps_4abfly.htm for an example, or Google "use pen tool for selection" for other tutorials/examples.
