Hi,

I'm trying to create an action to watermark my photos. I'm trying to figure out how to make a text fill a selection in height so I don't have to enter a fixed value for the text size in my action.

For now I have a selected portion on my picture, and a text layer. I'm trying to play with the 2 character settings I circled in red so the size of the text is adapted to my selection.

How is it possible to do so?
Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I think this movie tutorial from Russell Brown answers your question. The pertinent bit seems to be to select all and then align to selection through the layer menu.

Anyway it is a bit lengthy but the bit you want is about 3/4 of the way through it, but it's probably worth a watch anyway.

Hi and thanks,

well this is not exactly what I'm trying to achieve. I think I didn't explain well in my initial post so here are other screenshots.

I would like to make my text layer exactly fit and get automatically scaled (that's the tricky part) in a selection:

so I can get this:

But if I only use the "align layer on selection", there's no scaling involved and this is what I get:

I'm not sure what I'm trying to achieve is even possible. So if you (or someone else) can give me a hand with this, it would be appreciated :)
Thanks!
