Hi I new here and I hope I'm not repeating a topic but...
what is the step by step procedure for converting a 2D still into a 3D image?

You can't just take any random 2D object and make it 3D with Photoshop. PS Extended will give you some capabilities, but it's not really a 3D program. |

Hawkeye - Thanks for your response.
Is it possible with the use of "After Effects" prep the image in Photoshop in such a way the it can become 3D? |

If you are interested in 3D you really need dedicated software. There is free software to be had. 3Dvia is free and works in conjunction with PS Extended, you might take a look at it:
