guy, Im semi-new to photoshop and am currently using version 7. Iv been learning a bit lately but cant seem to get this effect that i want to do to a picture of myself. i have been seeing a lot of this one effect lately but it isnt really much of an effect. it seems to be more like a color enhancement. It is a picture of a guy but the colors have been magnified or something. if you even look at the back of this guys hair, it almost has a slight animated effect. there seems to be a lot of contrast perhaps. this particular picture is the side profile of a guy and behind that picture seems to be the origional so you can see the difference. I just wanted to know how to get this effect. it seems to me to be a little bit more involved than just a contrast change or something. any help would be great becuase i dont know how to do this to a picture of myself. it has a very trendy look to it. really rich color.

the image is attached.

thanks guys.
