Hi all,
I want to create a 5"x5" square protractor in photoshop.
Basically I create a 5x5 canvas, and need to apply 360 lines through the exact center (not sure how to find center exactly) and have them go out in 360 different angles.
I'm basically trying to mock up one of these:
I'm familiar with photoshop, but I have never really tried a project requiring this accuracy. Any help?
ok, first make a line anyway you want. you can use the select tool to make one, don't worry about the width when you do, all you have to do is move the selction over how many px you want with the arrow key then just delete the the part you dont want, so if you want the line to be 3px wide just hit the arrow key left 3 times and delete. now select the whole canvas area with the selection tool. with the line layer selected go to (layer, align layer to selection, and choose vertical and horizontal center)
Now go to actions and make a new action ( call it anything you want) Hit record. Copy the line layer, Now go to (Edit, Transform, rotate ) at the top select how many degress you want to rotata it ( say around 3-5) and hit enter. Now stop the recording of the action. Now to great more line all you have to do is hit the play button on the actions.
If you dont want the lines to go through the entire picture just simply merge all the line layers together and select the part you dont want with the select tool and delete. _________________ www.angryjohnny.ca
