Do the editing on a new layer under the template.
Turn off the template layer when printing.

How doesn't it work?
If the layer isn't visible it doesn't print.

When I open the template there is a layer. I added a new layer. I filled the circles in the new layer with color. Then I did what you said and the black lines were still there. If you have photoshop can you try to do it?
Thank You again!
