How do I load a new font suitcase onto Photoshop 7 using Mac OS X?

I see this subject came up for Phtoshp CS but none of the explanation made any sense to this Phtoshp 7 user. Furthermore, the references were for a PC user. I'm hoping a Mac user out there can enlighten me.

The Mac OS X is a new system for me and this version of Phtoshp is also new to me. None of the methods from previous systems seem to apply and none of my how-to books address this issue!

There's no folder in applications although in the Systems file there is single folder called Library. Inside that is a font folder. When I try to load or remove a font, a dialog box tells me I'm not allowed to do either. I can find no other font folder anywhere on System 10...most puzzling. Also find it weird that there is only one file in the System folder (Library). Is that what your system folder contains?

Thanks so much for the reference. I haven't resolved my problem yet but perhaps I'll be able to figure it out now that I know where to look. I appreciate the time you took to help me out!
