How do I erase from two circles intersecting a curve?

I need to be selective about what I erase, the erase tool isn't being effective. I'm wanting to erase the bottom half of the circles and some of the curve. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Helps if you can contain your post within the one thread without spanning two, but.... without seeing exactly what you want to do it's tough to say.

It sounds like you may want to draw a rectangular selection/mask and delete.
