I really wanna know how to do this effect. Below are 4 pictures i found from Rip Curl MySpace from what i can remember.

the second link is the picture im using for a photography project at school in which i have to promote the Gold Coast. I'm using surfing as my main feature. Although the picture already has the effect im looking for (i have photoshopped the rip curl logo out etcc..) i really wanna know how to do these effects.

Especially link 2 & 3. If possible, could someone give me a step by step quide to doing these effects. If all 4 of these pictures are accomploshed by 4 different ways, it would be kindly appreciated if each way is explained if known?

ALSO i wanna know how to do a shadow/3D effect with text like in the picture in the link below

I need to know how to do that as it will be featured on the poster.

I think you want to re-color the wave?

Simply select the area you want to recolor using any method you like. Make a new layer and fill in the selected area with a gradient. Set this layer style to color.

The same can be used for other pictures, but instead of using a gradient, you can use a brush.

For the font, just make a text layer, and right click it, and choose blending options. You can mess with the drop shadow options here.
