OK, I've calibrated my monitor with Huey or adobe gamma (minimal difference), am using Canon premium paper in an iP6600 printer with the correct PR1 icc profile selected, and have set Photoshop to manage colors in RGB1998. I proof the photo using the 'custom' setting set to simulate the Canon printer with PR1 icc profile selected- everything I've read to do in the tutorials.
But, my prints are still way off- very desaturated. Sadly, the closest I've come to WYSIWYG is to let the printer manage colors and set the printer driver to 'let Windows do it' (ICM management). I think this is all sRGB stuff. Even with that, blues are off and skin tones are too bright.
Can anyone help, recommend another tutorial or suggest how I can get the prints to match my monitor?!? Thanks!
